Fun
activity: Phuket Archery Club
is located fairly close to Robinson's Department Store. Take
a left and walk to the next light. Get on the right-hand side
of the road. Just past the Triumph motorcycle shop, look right.
You'll see Phuket Archery Club. There are two huge arrows
in the building. There is a nice archery range. The manager,
Khun Santi, is fluent in English and very, very helpful.

Surat
Thani Hotels: Check out the Wang
Tai Hotel in Surat Thani. The average price is US$32.
See reviews of various
hotels in Surat Thani at this website.
Another nice hotel that
isn't expensive, but offers nice rooms is the 100
Islands Resort. It has a spa, spa, Thai massages at reasonable
rates and there is a Tesco/Lotus Shopping center within a 5 minutes
walk. You can see a photo gallery here
and here.
Room prices range from $15 to $25. The only possible downside is that
it is not near the center of town. It is easy to get a tuk tuk to
town though, so this isn't a big problem.
