Trang Province - tropical island hopping, secluded beaches and nice bungalows

Season: May through October. This trip is for active adventurers who are capable of extended periods of activity. You don't need to be an experienced paddler, but you must be fit.

Journeys from the comfort of one island to the adventure of the next. This multi-day destination is south of Krabi province. It’s a developed tourist destination and mass tourism is causing problems during the winter months.

Due to the beauty of the islands, especially the cliffs and headlands, and their near proximity to one another, these crossings are appropriate for active novices. As each crossing is no more than six nautical miles, they are appropriate for daytime paddling.

You will carry everything you need in your kayaks without having an escort boat. This is a real kayaking trip that is unlike the usual extremely easy trips that everyone else offers. We'll teach you proper paddling technique to make your forward stroke as efficient as possible.

These multi-day trips are an ever-shifting panorama of "sundowner" beaches and comfortable bungalows. It is an up and coming resort destination. It is an especially lovely area, though the mass market tour groups are starting to come.

This trip is for experienced paddlers during the low season (mid April through October). It's perfectly calm during the high season (November through mid April). It involves more paddling than most of our other trips.  It's a nice trip for experienced paddlers!

There is one hong (hidden lagoon) that we visit.  It is the most popular tourist attraction in Trang.  Every day during the high tourist season hundreds of day-trippers visit this cave and hong.  We don't go when they go.  Instead, we go after the last boat has left.  We only go in if we can have it all to ourselves!

We stay in bungalows on different islands. Each bungalow is different from the others.  When we're not paddling, we have a wonderful views of the limestone islands of the area. We enjoy the laid back quality of island life and the friendliness of the locals. The restaurants at the bungalows are superb!

We offer four and six day trips to Trang for two to eight guests. Larger groups tours are available on request.

No experience is needed for any of our trips, but you must be reasonably fit for this trip as you will do the island crossings without the benefit of an escort boat.
