Phang Nga Bay Sea Kayaking Tours
Sea Kayaking Thailand focuses exclusively on small group sea kayaking tours to remote and unspoiled regions in Phang Nga Bay. We specialize in getting away from other tour groups in Phang Nga Bay.
Our business and personal lives are concentrate on enjoying the natural world with the minimum impact. We are the only paddling company in the region that is certified to international safety standards! We are certified by several first aid and rescue organizations.
We also offer unique hiking and trekking trips to rural areas where no one else goes. We prefer human-powered travel to get closer to Mother Nature's delightful ecosystems.
We use modern touring decked sea kayaks, not sit-on-tops. We sit inside these kayaks, not on top. Click here for further information, why we use traditional sit-inside kayaks. In the interest of providing you with the most comfortable boat for your body size, we have several types of kayaks.
You paddle yourself. If for some reason you are unable to paddle by yourself, we can arrange to have a guide paddle with you in a double kayak.
Customized School Educational Programs
Sea Kayaking Thailand specialises in year-round school group trips to unspoiled and colourful destinations throughout Southern Thailand. Dave is a British Canoe Union Level 2 Coach and is the most experienced kayaker in Southern Thailand. He is also a certified Emergency First Response instructor, a certified rescue technician through the Rescue 3 International organization and is a Certified Assessor in The International Award for Young People organization. View certifications. All of our guides concentrate on safety skills and all are certified to international standards.
Programs stress environmental education and sustainability as well as the preservation of the local culturals. One very popular school group trip option is to include the Koh Yao Noi Homestay Project. The homestay option is also available for independent travelers.
We also offer a mountain biking day trip on Koh Yao Noi in Phang Nga Bay that is suitable for just about everyone. More challenging cycling trips are also available.
Cross country cycling award trips or private trips are very popular. The route from Nakhon Si Thamarat only has two mild mountain passes. The rest of the route is fairly flat. There is no tourism along this entire route.
No Experience Neccessary for most of our Tours
Sea kayaking is not just for the young lion. The fitness level required is not meant to be intimidating. We are not looking for athletes… desk jockeys can certainly join us. Our average guest is middle age or older. Families are welcomed too.
"Dave Williams is a sort of paddling encyclopaedia for Southern Thailand."
Dave Williams customizes each trip based on the temperament and experience level of his charges. Because Dave tunes in to the peculiar needs of his group so well, the adventures are always exciting, but not stressful. Dave is clearly not in this for the money. He designs trips that are exciting to him so that he is personally enlivened and excited. It is a sound principle. Dave's passion for what he does is indeed contagious. Each of us was infected with the spirit of adventure, fun, and respect for the wonders of nature. I feel lucky that I have so many amazing stories to tell of the kind of adventures that most people will only dream about.
